Mindset Moment: Shuffling it up, and Returning for Resonance

Anyone interested in the path of greater self-knowledge is liable to come upon ideas, thoughts, and discussions that shuffle up their ideas.
It's valuable work to do, but can be overwhelming and your brain might feel like it's going to explode with all the new data!

I always think it's helpful to let the new idea sit with me for a while. See how it sits in my nervous system.
What other feelings does it invoke in me?
Any "a-ha" moments?
General shifting of perceptions? Breakthroughs in my own prejudices?
I give myself space to digest it.

After some time, I'll Return for Resonance -
Which for me, is back to the original article, video, or podcast that shuffled my ideas and see how I feel after I've given myself the opportunity for the information to percolate.

Maybe I'll agree wholeheartedly, maybe I decide to reject it, or I'll take what's useful and leave the rest!

The 'We Can Do Hard Things' podcast with Glennon Doyle talks about this idea in their Dec 14th episode 'Friendship Gems: Best of Friendship Advice.'

Give it a listen!

Digital Folders - How to Name Them?

Based on your business and organizing style, naming your digital folders can look a little different than someone else's. That's okay!
One size does not fit all.

What matters is keeping your system consistent so you can always find what you're looking for.

I read an article from Dropbox recently that laid out a simple plan for people who have clients (and projects attached to them):

1. Break out your core folders by year.
2. Create subfolders by month.
3. Under subfolders create a folder for each client.
4. Under each client make a folder for the project. (There can be multiple project folders under each client.)
5. Under each project folder create subfolders for the details of that project such as Contracts/Agreements, Invoices/Payments, Fundraising, Insurance, Inspiration, Meeting Notes, etc.!!!
Depending on your industry each subfolder will vary. If you're an artist, real estate agent, insurance broker, or florist, your folders will have different names, but the process can be the same.
